Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 28, 2026

DeathDay is developed and operated by Zane Industries LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the DeathDay iOS application ("App").

By using DeathDay, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

Health data (optional, with your permission):

Usage data:

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Data Storage

All personal data entered into DeathDay is stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage. We do not operate servers that store your personal health or lifestyle data. Your information stays on your device.

Subscription state is verified through Apple's StoreKit framework. We do not store payment information.

4. Apple Health

With your permission, DeathDay reads five categories of data from Apple Health: steps, sleep, resting heart rate, blood pressure, and active energy burned. This data is used only to refine your DeathDay estimate automatically, without you having to log it manually. DeathDay never writes to Apple Health, and your health data never leaves your device — it isn't transmitted to us or to any third party.

5. Email Communications

If you provide your email address to receive your mortality report, we'll use it to deliver that report and to send ongoing marketing and promotional communications about DeathDay. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

6. Third-Party Services

DeathDay uses Apple's StoreKit for subscription management and in-app purchases. Apple's privacy policy governs data processed through StoreKit. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking frameworks.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We do not share your health data with anyone, ever.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

8. Children's Privacy

DeathDay is not intended for users under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Your Rights

Because your data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all data at any time by using the "Reset all data" option in the app's Settings tab, or by deleting the app entirely from your device. This permanently removes all information DeathDay has collected.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
