Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the DeathDay iOS application ("App") provided by Zane Industries LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using DeathDay, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. About DeathDay

DeathDay provides statistical estimates of life expectancy based on actuarial data, lifestyle inputs, and optional health data. All estimates are statistical probabilities derived from population-level data — they are not medical diagnoses, medical advice, or predictions of any individual's actual lifespan. DeathDay is an informational and wellness tool only.

2. Not Medical Advice

DeathDay is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing in the App should be interpreted as a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding your health, lifestyle, or any medical decisions. Do not disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of something you read or see in DeathDay.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to use DeathDay. By using the App, you confirm that you are 17 or older. If you are under 17, you may not use the App.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

DeathDay offers auto-renewable subscriptions ("DeathDay Premium") that unlock full access to the App's features. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account via Apple's App Store.

• Subscription fees are charged at confirmation of purchase and at the start of each renewal period
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except as required by applicable law
• Prices may change with notice provided prior to the renewal date

To cancel your subscription, go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App
• Use the App to harm, harass, or distress others
• Circumvent any subscription or access controls
• Misrepresent the App's outputs as medical diagnoses or clinical assessments

6. Intellectual Property

All content in DeathDay — including the actuarial engine, design, copy, graphics, and code — is owned by Zane Industries LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our written permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

DeathDay is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any estimates produced by the App are accurate for any specific individual. Life expectancy estimates are statistical and may not reflect your actual lifespan.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zane Industries LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Mental Health Notice

DeathDay deals with mortality and end-of-life themes. If you are experiencing emotional distress, suicidal thoughts, or a mental health crisis, please reach out for help. Contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988, or visit 988lifeline.org.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sheridan County, Wyoming.
